Natural:
Contour uses only high quality, flawless natural diamonds that are specifically chosen for their orientation, colour and shape. Used in the 110/100 (Dodec) orientation for most wear resistance, good range of clearance angles and rake angles. The finely polished cutting edge is very durable.

Synthetic:
We offer 3 types-

Sumitomo & Mono Die-
Used for specialist applications such as lathing gas permeable (GP) contact lenses, and in machining plastics where ‘chemical wear' takes place.

Also useful when more than 120° of arc is required for radius tools.

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)-
A 100% diamond (no binders) grown by plasma-assisted chemical vapour deposition. An extremely hard diamond with high thermal conductivity. Useful for cutting hard, non-ferrous materials such as tungsten carbide with a cobalt percentage of 6% or more, and offers positive effects on wear resistance.
