We have developed application-oriented solutions covering the spectrum of ultra-precision manufacturing and optics. Read here more about the process of flycutting.

The process of flycutting

Flycutting is the process of using a single cutting edge to form a usually flat surface by tool rotation while keeping the work piece moving fixed or moving at the speed of the table feed. It is a flexible, economical and still accurate way of achieving high quality surfaces. There is a wide range of tool holders, shanks and tool edge geometries that can be applied depending on component shape, machine type, cutting parameters and machining strategies.
